Yes, but please clear this with your doctor. While pregnant, your body is more sensitive and that sensitivity will increase the further along you are. This is due to your hormones and increased blood flow to that area. However, our waxtress team is fully prepared to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
If waxing is done consistently, hair usually grows back slower, finer, and sparser. Whereas shaving cuts the hair off at the skin and the quantity and thickness of the hair stays the same. Shaving can also increase skin sensitivity and create a higher probability for ingrown hairs.
Everyone’s hair grows at different rates. Knowing that, usually your wax will last between 2–4 weeks. With the right products, you can help your body stay Smoother for longer. Just ask your Waxtress to point you in the right direction.
No. Waxing pulls the hair from the follicle weakening the root. So, if anything it will grow back weaker, more sparse and easier to remove next time. Waxing on a regular basis will give your hair a finer, Smoother, texture.
Please don’t! Shaving can create redness, irritation and ingrown hairs, yuck! It can also make the hair harder for our wax to grab during your next visit so if you have the urge to shave, schedule your appointments every 3 weeks instead of every 5.
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most experience a short, stinging sensation after the strip is pulled.
  • Waxing makes your hair grow slower and finer. Shaving can stall this process.
Come in a week or two after your period when hormones are lower. Most women find that the pain and swelling will be significantly less.
Retinols thin your skin, don’t wax within two to three weeks of using them.
Gentle exfoliation frequently helps prevent ingrown hairs. Be sure to exfoliate the night before to remove dead skin.
Pick your desired shape (if any) beforehand and let your Waxtress know what you want.
Cocktails may relax you but it does increase blood flow, which can result in increased sensitivity.
Increase the beauty of your wax. Ask about our pre and post care products to make it last longer and look prettier!
To keep your skin supple, use cleaners with salicylic and lactic acid to help fight off bacteria and dead skin.
Skin will be extra sensitive to sunlight right after waxing so be sure to protect it by keeping areas covered as best as possible for the first 24-48 hours.
Waxing on a consistent basis will help decrease sensitivity during future visits and will help the hair grow back weaker and sparser.
